About the Author
I spent over a decade in corporate HR — from startups to publicly traded companies, from building teams of 10 to restructuring organizations of thousands. I've been a Chief Human Resources Officer, an HR Business Partner at senior director level, and the person everyone came to when things got hard.
I also burned out. Badly.
When I finally stopped long enough to understand what had happened to me, I discovered that burnout isn't a motivation problem — it's a neurological one. My background in psychology and neurobiology helped me see the patterns: the HPA axis dysregulation, the chronic cortisol exposure, the prefrontal cortex going offline.
I wrote Wired to Burn Out because I needed a book like this and it didn't exist. Something that combined real neuroscience with practical, actionable recovery tools. Not platitudes. Not "self-care Sundays." Actual protocols backed by research.
My work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, corporate culture, and human performance. I write for people who have given too much to organizations that took too much — and who are ready to understand their brains and rebuild.
The science is clear. Recovery is possible. Let's start.
